March Move & Connect: The Generosity Effect
What a night!
March 18th at Open Space Studios was loud, a little chaotic, and the energy was something we are still thinking about. (There is definitely room to refine it. We took lots of notes for next time!)
The theme for the evening was The Generosity Effect, timed with International Women's Day and built around a simple reframe: instead of walking into a room thinking about what you can get, what if you walked in asking what you have to give? We each wore a lanyard card with two things on it, our biggest Ask right now, and what we had to Offer. Shanan Kelley led us through many rounds of speed networking where every conversation started from that same place. Not your pitch or your resume. Just: how can I help support this person in front of me?
The walls filled up with asks and offers, real ones, specific ones, from women willing to be useful to a stranger. It was something to see.
But here is what we could not stop thinking about after: those walls. All those cards. All those needs and gifts sitting in a room for one night and then gone. So we did something about it.
Introducing the DWB Connection Directory.
We photographed every single Ask and Offer card from the event and turned them into a searchable, filterable directory, just for the people who were in that room. Browse by what people need, what they can offer, and filter by category. It is all there.
